After kicking off on Thursday (June 12) with performances from artists including Pusha T, the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee comes to a close tonight (June 15). Preceding Elton John’s closing set, Wiz Khalifa performed a final performance on the “Which Stage.”
On Friday (June 13), the festival featured a performance from Kanye West, his first appearance at Bonnaroo since a controversial set in 2008. During his set, West again critisized the press in between songs. “I want y’all to know that anytime I’m in the studio, make a record, make a t-shirt, I give it everything I got,” he said. “And when I talk that shit, it’s so you can talk that shit. If you’re a fan of me, you’re a fan of your motherfuckin’ self. You can go out and do anything.”
The same night, Ice Cube rattled off hits like “Natural Born Killers” and “It Was A Good Day” in an appearance that also included an extended Nate Dogg tribute according to Billboard.
