Released from prison just over three weeks ago, rapper Lil Boosie is reportedly facing complaints from fellow residents of a gated community in Louisiana.

According to WGNO News, a party Lil Boosie held for his mother’s 60th birthday spawned complaints in the English Turn neighborhood in which he rents a house previously owned by Birdman. Speaking with Boosie’s mother, Connie Hatch, WGNO asked about the party. “It was just a small family gathering,” she said. “We’re in this neighborhood just like everybody else, you understand. Just like everybody else have parties, we have parties too.” She later said, “I just feel like we were being singled out, and we have to be fair.”

WGNO also reports that the “complaints stem from minor parking violations and noise” according to the station’s reporter Darian Trotter. Reacting to the news that the neighborhood association would issue a warning prior to any filed notices, Hatch said, “Well if that’s what they want to do that’s fine, but let be fair. Let’s be fair, you know.”

Following his release on March 5, Lil Boosie spoke in his first post-prison public appearance in an Angela Yee hosted press conference on March 10. During the appearance, the rapper said “I just feel I stand alone in the music industry.” “As for the rap game, I feel like the music I got, the rap game wide open for me to take over,” he said. “I feel like what I been hearing these last three, four days on the radio and stuff is different from my music. Like I said, it’s different from my music. And different brings greatness. So, I just feel I stand alone in the music industry to tell you the truth.”

More recently, the prospect of the rapper’s performing out-of-state for a string of upcoming concerts has come into question with Louisiana state prison officials confirming that the rapper has not been cleared to leave the state on Friday according to the Sun Herald. Nonetheless, the same article reports that Ticketmaster is currently listing April concert tickets for Lil Boosie performances in both Birmingham and Nashville.

“The blanket answer is he’s a recent release,” Darryl Campbell, an executive officer with the department said of Boosie’s possibly being cleared to travel. “He has to prove himself over time and follow procedure to make a request through his officer. I’m not saying it wouldn’t be approved later, it’s just not likely at this point,” he said. “It depends on how compliant someone is to their supervision.”
