Back in the late 80’s when KRS, Kane, Rakim and G Rap were running the scene, a cocky 16 year old stepped on the scene and blew some minds. Special Ed had it made, he spit seemingly without effort and had a swagger comparable to Big Daddy Kane.

With The Hitman Howie Tee he crafted a classic called “Youngest In Charge” in 1989. With hit songs like “I Got It Made” Ed became one of the most respected emcees in the game. His follow “Legal” certainly didn’t hurt either with classic storytelling like “The Mission” and braggadocio like “I’m The Magnificent.”

After that Ed pretty much fell off the map save his Crooklyn Dodgers effort with Masta Ace and Buckshot. His 95 album “Revelations” was largely ignored and Ed just became a memory. That is about to change though.

Teaming up with Howie Tee once again, Ed is out to prove that he has “Still Got It Made.” Dropping on October 26th on Semi Records, the album features guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Daz, Soopafly, Teddy Pendergrass, Cash Money’s Gotti, Young Rascoe and others. A strange line up of guests for a Brooklyn emcee isn’t it?
