It’s hip-hop beyatch! Comedian Dave Chappelle organized a good ol’ block party this weekend in the BK, spending some 3 million dollars out of his own pocket to do so. Roots drummer ?uestlove acted as musical director for the event (as he does for Chappelle’s Show), and Dave enlisted the help of many artists who have graced his show.

To little surprise, Kanye West, Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli and The Roots performed. In addition to that already impressive line up there was dead prez, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Bilal, Freeway, and even Big Daddy Kane and Kool G Rap joining The Roots for “Boom!” The biggest surprise came with the apparent headliner.

Lauryn Hill was scheduled to anchor the show, and she did, but not alone. Joining L-Boog was former (current?!?) group member Wyclef Jean and Pras. The beef is apparently over as Lauryn even performed her Clef diss “Lost One’s,” this was complete with a playful mush to Clef’s face. Let the reunion speculation begin. “All the Fugees are talking. We’re all definitely talking. The energy is definitely good energy,” Clef said, “I spoke to Lauryn. I spoke to Pras. And its just real good energy, good vibes. It’s important for the Fugees to come back and just show them what the next chapter is because there’s a whole other chapter that they didn’t touch yet.”
