With “Jesus Walks” just killing the airwaves, everyone is taking notice. The result is Kanye West being nominated for Best Gospel Rap Album for the Stellar Awards.
Apparently some folks on the gospel scene aren’t happy about it, that may be because they heard “College Dropout” and noticed Kanye talks about a lot of things that wouldn’t fall under gospel. Understandable.
“It just seems that it shouldn’t have gotten through,” Jadda Gunn, a member of the music academy. “For this to be the Stellar Awards they should have known Kanye West, Roc-A-Fella records – that’s not a gospel album.”
