Recently, Rick Ross released his lead single for Mastermind, “Devil is a Lie,” featuring Jay Z. In a recent interview with Rap-Up, Ross spoke about the track.

“It’s one of those,” said Rick Ross. “If you know how me and Jay do… We was talkin’, we was having a conversation, and we was like, I believe it’s our sixth collaboration, and we 6-0.”

Previously, Jay and Ross collaborated on tracks like Ross’ “Free Mason,” “Hustlin’ (Remix),” and “3 Kings.”

Ross also discussed another high-profile collaboration, a remix to Lady Gaga’s “Do What U Want.”

“Shout out to Lady Gaga,” said Ross. “Just being a super-talented artist that loves to express herself to the fullest extreme. Just for me to get to collab with her, that was a big one for the Bawse.”

Ross addressed how the collaboration of Gaga came to be. “Some of [her] people reached out to me. I was like, ‘Of course.'”

Rick Ross also spoke about the status of Mastermind.”It’s coming soon,” he said. “Top of the year. Still gotta put a few details into it. I got to. Everybody’ll thank me later.”
