Even though he is one of the most financially successful figures in Hip Hop history, Diddy is still has more projects on the horizon, including his recently-launched Revolt TV.

In a recent interview with Vlad TV, Diddy explained what keeps his drive alive. “I think the key for me to be able to handle the peaks and valleys of life is my relationship with God, and also my belief on never, never, never giving up,” said Diddy. “I’m just never gonna give up. There’s no reason to give up. It’s not in my DNA.”

Diddy continued, crediting Hip Hop for much of his success. “I’ve been truly blessed,” he said. “I’ve made it through a lot, and I say this all the time: I thank God for Hip Hop. And I thank God for my Hip Hop family, and everyone that has supported me, because I wouldn’t have been able to make it to where I’m at without people believing in my dreams and also supporting things that I’ve had dreams to do.”

Diddy explained that his increased humility and collaborative spirit has allowed him to grow. “You know, I’ve grown a lot, and I’m still the best at taklin’ that shit, but I’m more humble than I’ve ever been, and I’m humbled by just the things that I’ve been able to dream into existence through the help of other people,” he said. “There’s no ‘I’ in ‘team,’ and I have a great team of people around me, and I take pride in my staff. I’ve moved on from just ‘I’ to ‘we.’ I don’t just do it for me and my crew no more. I really do it for us. I know at the end of the day, for some people that sounds good, but that’s my truth. My motivation is, I want to make sure my kids and our kids can see that it can be done. That if you’re a person of any color, and you have a dream in your heart, especially if you’re a person coming from my community, the African American community, where it’s a lot of turmoil and a lot of loss of hope, that there is hope, and you can do anything that you can put your mind to.”
