Rhymesayers Entertainment, the Minnesota based independent record label home to Brother Ali, Atmosphere and Dilated Peoples, has announced that they have signed a new artist, Dem Atlas.

Hailing from St. Paul, Minnesota, Dem Atlas is perhaps best known for his self-released Charlie Brwn Ep in which he references the life of the beloved television cartoon character.

“I feel like I relate to Charlie Brown because, he is a bit of a sad figure, yet reliant in the ways in which he fails time and time again, but continues to try and try again,” Atlas said in a press release issued by the label.

Drawing inspiration from sources such as animation and Nirvana, Atlas is already working on his debut project with Rhymesayers. No release date has been scheduled.
