He has a career that legends are made of, but sadly he isn’t regarded by enough as the legend he should be. Getting his start with the famed Juice Crew in the late 80’s, the Brooklyn rhyme sayer took a back seat to Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap and Biz Markie.

His debut “Take A Look Around” certainly proved he was not one to sleep on. After breaking out from their shadows and forming Masta Ace Inc., he dropped a certifiable classic in “Slaughtahouse” and one of hip-hop’s finest concept albums in “Sittin’ On Chrome.” Not to mention his stunning comeback album “Disposable Arts” in 2001.

On August 3rd “A Long Hot Summer” drops, another concept album, but his last. Ace promises he is hanging it up for good in order to get his label M3 off the ground. His upcoming opus continues his streak of excellent albums, it features production from The Beatnuts, 9th Wonder, DR Period, DJ Spinna, Dug Infinite and more. As Ace once demanded on “Acknowledge,” pay homage, respect.
