2 Chainz is mostly known as one of Hip Hop’s most popular artists today, but in a recent interview with Dan Le Batard and Bomani Jones on ESPN2’s “Highly Questionable,” the Atlanta rapper discussed another aspect of his life: fatherhood.
“I have a five-year-old and a one-year-old,” said 2 Chainz, who was asked whether he lets his children listen to his music. “I don’t let my… I let my five-year-old sing on my last album [on the] song called ‘Black Unicorn,’ so she knows how to take her iPad and go straight to the part where she sings. Just right there!”
2 Chainz continued, explaining that his daughter still had time before needing to hear the explicit version of his music. “She can get a clean copy for now, man. Music really shapes the way kids grow up these days. It’s very important for me to try to parent that situation. She’s listening to the Disney Channel. I feel like she has time and has room enough to grow. She understands that 2 Chainz is her dad. She don’t know why I’m so popular. She don’t know why I’m always signing autographs, but it’s cool for her to grow up in an era where I’m successful.”
Chainz also revealed that one of his five-year-old’s favorite games is to have Grammy Award-nominated artist dress up as a doctor. “She wanted me to be a doctor named ‘Dr. Boo-Boo.’ I had to be Dr. Boo-Boo. And the thing is, she plays hurt, and I have to come in as Dr. Boo-Boo. Then, when I leave, she calls me ‘Dr. Cuckoo’ to try to make Dr. Boo-Boo mad because that’s not his real name.”

“She’s very dramatic,” he said. “She lays out, and I have to check on her as Dr. Boo-Boo.”
Apparently, the game is a labor of love for the rapping father. “It takes like an hour before we figure out what’s really wrong with her,” said 2 Chainz. “I’ve been Doctor Boo-Boo for like a year straight.”
