Last year’s Hip-Hop Peace & Unity Fest concert has hit DVD and is in stores now. This landmark concert saw 40,000 people get rocked by KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, Skillz, PMD Insight, ED O. G. and Pharoahe Monche, among others. The DVD is 2 and a half hours of premium hi-definition footage shot from 6 angles. Check for it now on Inebriated Rhythm/Grit Records.
Also from Inebriated/Grit is the line up for this year’s Peace & Unity Fest. Taking place in Boston and Toronto, both are free events which celebrate Hiphop cultural diversity and positivity. From August 13th-15th Toronto will be blessed by KRS-One, Erick Sermon, Skillz, Royce 5’9, Large Professor, C.L. Smooth, Jeru Da Damaga, Soulive and local artists. Boston’s show takes place on October 9th with a different line-up (to be announced). Over 80,000 are expected to show.
Lastly, Percy “Master P” Miller has suffered another set back in his quest to play in the NBA. Last week he was cut by the Denver Nuggets at the team’s second summer league practice. P has been cut by both the Toronto Raptors and the Charlotte Hornets…
