Producer Todd Brown, a.k.a. Todd-1, has launched “5 Deadly Videos” for Playboy TV’s newest lineup of hip-hop entertainment. Playboy TV is presenting an outlet for the mature hip-hop fan, which will include music, women, and lifestyles. Keeping with the tasteful adult image of Playboy TV, “5 Deadly Videos” will show what other video shows leave out. Hosted by Ed Lover this uncensored video show will show more skin, original lyrics, and video clips than you will see anywhere else. Each episode will feature some of today’s finest adult models and entertainers.

Todd-1 has made a career out of blazing new trails. At an early age, Todd-1 got his start at MTV as an intern who caught the eye of famed “Yo! MTV Raps,” producer Ted Demme. Under Ted’s wing, Todd-1 worked his way up through the ranks of MTV quickly moving from intern to producer of “Yo! MTV Raps.” In 1991, Todd-1 broke out on his own in creating and hosting “Fade To Black” (which would eventually be re-named “MTV Jams.” Without question, Todd-1 had found his niche. He brings his knowledge of the Hip-Hop and R&B market along with his 14 years of television experience to the table at Playboy TV. He has worked for networks such as MTV, BET, ABC, and Showtime producing shows such as “Yo! MTV Raps,” “Rap City,” and “Source All Access.” Todd-1’s most recent success was with “Interscope Presents The Next Episode” which was voted as one of the 2003 top ten shows of the year by Entertainment Weekly, ranking at No. 5.

“Playboy has recognized that they have new viewers and want to develop programs that will be of interest to this younger demographic of Playboy subscribers,” says Todd-1. This is an exciting time for me because Playboy and the world are recognizing the power of hip-hop and Playboy is giving hip-hop a platform to see it in its uncensored form. This format could be the next step for hip-hop entertainment and the next phase in the evolution of hip-hop. “Yo! MTV Raps” opened the door for hip-hop to the masses and now those masses are getting older and are looking for more adult content, Playboy has given me that opportunity to provide them with such. I call it “Grown man entertainment, from a grown ass man, for grown men!!!” says Todd-1. 5 Deadly videos first episode aired on July 10, 2004.
