Ja Rule was arrested in New York on Thursday morning after making an illegal lane change. After being pulled over, police found some marijuana and discovered that he was driving with a suspended license and had an open arrest warrant stemming from 1996 for resisting arrest. Former Lost Boyz frontman Mr. Cheeks is preparing for the release of his third solo album, “Ladies and Ghettomen,” which will arrive in stores in September on his newly formed Legal Drug Money Records.
The album’s lead single is “It’s Alright,” featuring Truth Hurts. The album will also include the Pete Rock produced “All I Know” and the Paul McCartney/Michael Jackson cover “The Girl Is Mine.” According to Cheeks, “We’re just regular street guys that like to party, spend money, love the women and enjoy life. That’s what the album is mainly about.”
