Grammy Award-winning artist Bruno Mars has been tapped to perform at halftime of this NFL season’s Super Bowl in February, reports ESPN.
The 2014 Super Bowl will be played on February 2 at MetLife Stadium, the first location to host the event that is neither warm weather or indoors.
Last year’s halftime performance was by Beyonce, who was on site in New Orleans, where the Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers 34-31.
Other recent performers in the past include Madonna, The Black Eyed Peas with Usher and Slash, the Who, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
