The talks of former the Organized Konfusion emcee going to Shady Records have been bubbling for some time. The two were both critical the underground scene in the late 90’s and forged a relationship in that time.
While Pharoahe has been sitting on the shelf for ever, being caught up in the circus that Rawkus became, he has been anxious to find himself a better situation. That situation is Shady Records according to him.
“…the truth of the matter is, its pretty much going down. I’ve been down with Em for a long time, I’m a fan of his and the feeling is mutual. They heard the record over there and they loved it and I told them that is the only place I wanna be right now. If I don’t go there I might just quit, it’s that serious. I just know where I need to be for the kind of record I want to do. They already understand me, the A&R people over there are fans…they pretty much seem the best at putting your personas in front of the audience and letting them decide whether they wanna fuck with it or not.”
