On Thursday (August 15), former B2K singer Raz-B ended up in a hospital after someone smashed him in the face with a glass bottle. Now, what was originally an unfortunate altercation has apparently turned life-threatening.

The 28-year-old singer was performing at a nightclub in Zhejiang, China, when a fistfight in the crowd erupted, reports TMZ.

Apparently, Raz went to go break up the fight when someone swung a bottle into his face, resulting in several cuts and a deep gash on his lip.

After the situation was sorted out by authorities, Raz-B was sent to the hospital, where he underwent a one-hour surgical procedure to repair the “hole” in his lip, which also required four stitches.

“Fuck this shit hurts,” said Raz-B in a statement. “I have a fucking hole in my lip. Thank god I made it to the hospital.”

On Friday (August 16), it was revealed that the situation had taken a turn for the worse. Raz’s publicist, Toy Jones, told TMZ, “He is in a coma and needs as many prayers as possible.”

Apparently, the day after the surgery, the singer didn’t wake up, at which point one of his backup dancers rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The situation has been described as “dire,” and sources say Raz is breathing from a ventilator.

Raz-B has been living in China for the past three years, and has plans to move back to the U.S.

B2K was a popular R&B group active from 1998 to 2004, and its members included Lil’ Fizz, J-Boog, Raz-B, and Omarion. The group’s 2002 release Pandemonium! went platinum.

HipHopDX would like to extend its thoughts, prayers and support to Raz-B and his friends and family at this time.
