Phili emcee Last Emporer, best known for his classic “Secret Wars” song pitting emcees against comic book characters, has let loose on Eminem and Russell Simmons. The one-time Aftermath emcee is pissed at Eminem for his infamous remarks, Russ for supporting him, and other emcees for keeping quiet about the issue.
In a recent freestyle over Kanye’s “Jesus Walks” instrumental, Last Emp spits:
“Somehow Em’s up in the hands of whites.
I’m surprised at Kevin Muhammad and Russell Simmons,
Y’all defendin’ Eminem for disrespectin’ our women?
If it’s okay to dis black girls, negro, listen,
Somebody cancel my One World magazine subscription.
See this is the way that black lives are lost,
This is not the way that Elijah thought,
These are not the same teachings that Elijah taught,
We should have been put that cracker on life support.
Man, somebody better give that man a tap on the shoulder,
Are you workin’ for the slave master, handin’ us over?
Instead of goin’ state to state tryin’ ta register voters,
