Spike Lee is absolutely disgusted at “Soul Food” (as was our DeMarco Williams), Lee described the flick as “coonery and buffoonery,” adding that the “joke’s on us.” While Lee has certainly not been the only one to chastise the film, Snoop did take exception his remarks and responded in the New York Daily News with, “Now he made him a little white movie (25th Hour) and he wants to talk about us.” Snoop also added that Lee was being hypocritical since his movies, “School Daze” and “Do The Right Thing” could be considered “coonery and buffoonery” as well. I’m not sure what movies Snoop was watching…
Apparently the fans aren’t the only one’s wondering where M.O.P.’s Roc-A-Fella debut is. Lil’ Fame and Billy Danze aren’t too happy about sitting on the shelf for over 2 years now, and they are making it known: “…in 2004/and these motherfuckers still don’t got a release date for the M.O./P, niggas got me pissed off, chest all swole/like an inmate waiting to see the parole board.” That comes from Lil’ Fame’s verse from “Let It Go” on Cormega’s new “Legal Hustle” compilation…
Speaking of the Mash Out Posse, they have a new album dropping next week of the very same name. Over the thirteen track album they collaborate with rock group Shiners Massive for rap/rock mash-ups of tracks such as “Fire,” “Stress Y’all” and “Stand Up.”
