There really isn’t much that hasn’t been said about KRS already, or that KRS hasn’t said himself. Perhaps the fact that this is his 13th album says more than anything else. When most artists are lucky to get three or four albums out The Blastmaster has persevered for some 20 years in this game.
Due out on Grit Records July 13th, KRS once again challenges the listener at everyturn. On “Are You Ready For This” KRS continues to question the ethics of current Hiphop “leaders” as he laments “when u find me you find light/and that’s all right/I don’t know about pimping/selling woman like retail/or turning coke into crack for resale/but I do know if we fail/in 2020 our children by the million will be jailed.”
