Queens, New York emcee/producer Q-Tip has maintained a career in Hip Hop for nearly 25 years. As of late, he’s worked extensively with rising sensations Roc Marciano, Mac Miller and even most recently, LMFAO’s GoonRock.

According to Twitter, there is another artist to add to The Abstract’s growing list of collaborators. Yesterday (May 19) Q-Tip tweeted to Compton, California’s Kendrick Lamar, suggesting the pair leaks a track they made together. While it is unclear if Q-Tip produced, rapped, or did both for the song, the song remains unheard.

Throughout his career, Tip has worked extensively with Busta Rhymes, who was an Aftermath Entertainment artist in the mid-2000s. Q-Tip appeared on two songs from 2006’s The Big Bang, which was released on Dr. Dre’s label, several years before Kendrick’s signing.

Q-Tip is currently working on his first solo album since signing with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint. It is believed to be titled, The Last Zulu, and planned for 2014 release.
