Yesterday Corey Miller, better known as No Limit rapper C-Murder, was denied his request to be released on bond. State District Judge Martha Sassone denied him due to other felony charges levied against the New Orleans rapper. The incident in question occurred in August 2001 when C-Murder was charged with attempted first-degree murder after trying to shoot a nightclub owner.

Miller’s lawyer Ronald Rakosky claimed that he should be released since the state has been inactive in regards to the former charges over the past two years. As previously reported, P’s little brother is also facing battery charges stemming from an attack on a prison guard.

It isn’t all bad news though; he was given a new trial last week after some discrepancies with the prosecution. The judge ruled that the prosecutors had withheld information about the criminal pasts of several witnesses used in the trail.
