At the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards the ATL duo won Best Song award for “Hey Ya,” as well as the award for Best Group. Andre made sure to pass on some valuable advice when addressing the crowd of children, “Thank you for inviting us to your award show. We’re having a great time, and it is so great to learn how to read. You have to read, that’s it, and count, and all that type of stuff. Stay away from drugs.”
The 2004 Juno awards were held this weekend in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Juno’s are Canada’s version of the Grammy’s. Toronto-based rapper Choclair picked up another Juno, for his 3rd album release Flagrant. Choclair has been a key player on the Canadian Hip Hop scene for almost a decade. His First album was released by Priority Records in the US and has been featured on BET.
The speculation has been running rampant for sometime and now Matty from hiphopsite.com has confirmed, that The Neptunes have bailed on Arista and inked a deal with the Interscope monster. With a reported $5 million dollar signing bonus, they have moved their Star Trak imprint to Interscope and will surely be doing more in house production. It’s a good time to be an Interscope artist…
