While Kanye is carrying the torch nicely for the Roc, they can still get so much mileage out of Jay they really don’t need to worry. Case in point, the Roc is presently putting together a tribute album called “Beyond Reasonable Doubt,” according to MTV.

The album will be similar to the NWA Legacy album, where a number of artists will cover various Jay songs. Among those said to be included, Beanie Sigel doing “Where I’m From”, Kanye West covering “A Million and One Questions,” Young Gunz doing “Face Off,” Memphis Bleek doing “Can I Live.”

Now if you’re like me and you are asking yourself, ‘do I really need to hear Memph Bleek butcher a Jay-Z classic?’ It does get more interesting. The double disk endeavor will also include a number of r&b singers doing their interpretations of Jay’s work. Tribute albums generally work better across genre’s I find. Nicole Wray’s is covering “Regrets,” Rell is covering “Some How, Some Way,” and “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)” and “This Can’t Be Life” are all expected to be covered by singers.
