This week, Drake dropped an unexpected track with his latest “5 AM in Toronto,” a Boi-1da-produced cut that takes the crown as the most popular single. Kid CuDi was a close second with his new joint “Immortal,” while Danny Brown had a leftfield with the impressive “Hottest MC” – a response to MTV’s “Hottest MCs” list. Further down the list includes Lupe Fiasco’s zippy “Light Blue,” plus Ghostface Killah’s “The Sure Shot (Parts One & Two),” PSY’s “Gangham Style” remix featuring 2 Chainz and Tyga and Meek Mill’s “Started From the Bottom” remix.

Drake Starts From The Top With “5 AM In Toronto”

Drake is gearing up for his third solo album Nothing Was the Same with a few new joints. After dropping “Started From the Bottom” around the Grammy Awards, Drizzy followed up with a late-night release of “5 AM in Toronto,” the Boi-1da-produced joint that’s reportedly slated for inclusion on the LP. For fans who interpreted the lines, the song goes at OVO associate The Weeknd, rapping, “I show love, never get the same out of niggas / Guess it’s funny how money can make change out of niggas / For real, some nobody started feeling himself / A couple somebodies started killing themself / A couple albums dropped those are still on the shelf / I bet them shit would have popped if I was willing to help.” Listen to the track here.

Kid CuDi Debuts Strong With “Immortal”

Like Drake, Kid CuDi is also gearing up for the release of his third solo album indicud, dropping April 23rd. This week, Cudders unleashed his latest leak “Immortal” that expresses the vibe of the LP. He also gave an interview discussing what listeners can expect on indicud, revealing a few key features on the project. He noted that Too $hort, RZA, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, Hit-Boy and indie rock group Haim would appear on the album. “I got this group called Haim…they’re so dope,” he said. “We were able to do a jam with something me and Hit-Boy did. It’s a song that we’ve been trying to make happen for, like, two years now. I had the idea to get the girls on it and we reworked the beat a little bit. That will definitely be on there.”
