With the follow-up to “Devil’s Night” being pegged with an April 27th release date, the info on “D-12 World” is starting to leak. Pizzo at hiphopsite recently caught a performance from them at their party for Shady Ltd. Clothing. According to him the lead-single is a track called “My Band” that pokes fun at the group being a one man show. The chorus has Em shouting “y’all don’t even know the name of my band” and D-12 shouting back “fuck you Marshall.”
He also noted that Em opens and closes the song with ill verses that call back to his Shadier days on some bugged out shit. It’s been a while hasn’t it? Also performed was “40 Oz” and “Hoe,” a concept track in the vein of “Whoa” or their own “That’s How.”
While it isn’t official, you can expect production from Eminem, Denaun Porter, Dr. Dre and word is that Kanye West produced the title track. I would also assume they will take this opportunity to showcase Stat Quo. I’d bet on an Obie Trice guest spot as well. Cypress Hill is also slated to appear on the sequel to “American Psycho.”
