With Kanye West’s debut “College Dropout” being bootlegged in the middle of December, the Roc-A-Fella producer/emcee is trying to battle the bootleggers by re-working his album for its release on February 10th. According to a recent interview with Kanye on BBC radio, he has cut tracks, added brand new ones, and made adjustments to others.
So here is the deal: the new tracks are “We Don’t Care” featuring Talib Kweli and Common, and “Spaceships” featuring Consequence. The re-worked tracks are “All Falls Down” (with Syleena Johnson replacing the Lauryn Hill sample), “Jesus Walks,” and “Workout” has morphed into “The New Workout Plan.” ODB’s appearance (“Keep The Receipt”) was cut along with “Home” (damn!), “My Way,” and “The Good, The Bad, The Ugly” featuring Consequence.
Also creating a stir was the outcome of Kanye’s listening party. Fellow Chi-Town native Common showed up and ripped the mic like it was 1994, sounding resurrected so to speak. He even spoke on his relationship with Ms. Badu and how she was the reason he was in a different mind state when he made “Electric Circus.”
