On Thursday, January 21st Debbie Mathers was at a gas station at the intersection of Eight Mile road. While she sat there in her car a man approached her with a gun and threatened to kill her if she didn’t get out. Before she could react she threw her from the car and sped away.
WDIV-TV in Detroit says Mathers immediately contacted the police from a pay phone the car was soon located at a traffic light at Seven Mile. Unable to getaway in the car, the man jumped from the vehicle and tried to run from police.
He was soon apprehended after a brief chase and the police could not be more surprised by the man’s identity; it was none other than Marshall Mathers himself. January Fool’s Day!! It was actually a 16 year old kid packing a chrome plated handgun. Police are seeking to try him as an adult in court.
