From his days as the voice of 2 Live Crew to his current status as a hip hop veteran and label owner, Luther Campbell has always been one to speak his mind. This March Uncle Luke will release his latest project, a CD/DVD, entitled “The Don of All Don’s.”
This time around Luke issues his opinions on topics ranging from Kobe Bryant, Russell Simmons and Snoop Dogg (maybe he listened to “Fuck Wit Dre Day” again). Of course, that all comes in between his raunchy party raps. Luke explains, “Nothing is off limits, if you got caught out there like Kobe did I’m speaking on it, If you are a rapper and you are letting the system pimp you, I’m speaking on it. But it’s all in fun.”
In the meantime, Luke will keep his name in people’s mouths through his underground mixtapes. DJ Smallz’ “Southern Smoke 6: Luke for President” was just released on December 30th. The album features some selections from his upcoming LP.
