It seems that a month doesn’t go by that Puffy doesn’t put on another hat. If running a marathon wasn’t a big enough surprise, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs will make his Broadway debut this spring in a revival of “A Raisin in the Sun.” The 1959 Broadway hit from Lorraine Hansbury’s is about a black family moving into an all-white Chicago neighborhood.

“It is an American classic alongside ‘Streetcar,’ ‘Death of a Salesman’ and ‘The Crucible,'” producer David Binder said. “And it has never had a Broadway revival.”

The production will likely begin rehearsals in mid-February, followed by preview performances in mid-March and the official opening a month later in April. In regards to Puffy, Binder said, “We were all incredibly impressed — he’s focused on the work.”
