Part of The Source’s current campaign against Eminem was to give away copies of Eminem’s now infamous recording containing racial slurs with their February issue. The issue was built around the CD and attempts to examine race in hip-hop. 800,000 CD’s were going to be pressed for giveaway.
On Tuesday, Eminem’s lawyers won a court injunction barring The Source from giving the CD away. The Source may attempt to find away around this obstacle. The issue is due to hit the stands on January 12th.
In other Eminem news, his European fans have been given the opportunity to buy his new “Eminem: The Singles” box set. Aside from his past signals such as “My Name Is,” “Guilty Conscience,” “The Real Slim Shady” and more, it will include some instrumentals, acapellas and other rare tracks.
