Tuesday marked Jay-Z’s much talked about farewell show. With tickets going for outrageous prices and rumors of all sorts of special guests, the night lived up to its billing. Here are some of the notable moments and guest appearances:
Jay-Z ran through some of his best and some of his most notorious cuts, with the likes of Missy Elliot, Freeway, Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Young Gunz, and Twista joining him at different points of the set.
Foxy Brown made a surprising appearance and performed the classic “Ain’t No Nigga” with her former ghost writer.
Beyonce, 5 dancers, and Illadelphonic (a new 7-piece band backed by ?eustlove) hit the stage to run through “Crazy in Love,” “Baby Boy” and “Summertime.” In another surprising appearance, Ghostface joined Beyonce to add his verse to the latter song.
Mary J. Blige made her requisite appearance to bless her duet with Jigga, “Can’t Knock The Hustle.” Even R. Kelly joined the festivities to perform some select cuts with Jay.
