Trenton, New Jersey’s Tony D, best known for production for DJ Muggs, Outsidaz, Poor Righteous Teachers, YZ, King Sun, Crusaders for Real Hip-Hop, & Pacewon. Recently, Tony D scored “Snipes,” a movie starring Nelly, Schooly D, and Dean Winters that was in theatres this summer.
Tony has run into some legal problems though, according to police, Tony was allegedly growing marijuana at his Trenton home, among other things. He faces several drug, weapons and gambling charges following a house-raid.
He was arrested at his home by the Hamilton Narcotics/Vice Unit officers who have been investigating him ever since. Anthony Depula (Tony D) is charged with possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, marijuana plants, gambling records and possession of fireworks, promoting gambling and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Apparently, the police have an informant. “Because of my hip hop affiliations, and coming from a small city/suburb- you get Hated on,” Tony said. “This results are people getting jealous and wanting to fuck you up…There’s no guns, gambling or drugs here…It’s a set-up! Someone’s given a false statement.”
