Finally, Brownsville, Brooklyn rapper Ka has announced the February 14 release of his second solo LP Grief Pedigree. The former Natural Elements rapper – who most recently appeared on Roc Marciano’s Marcberg – explained that Grief Pedigree finds him looking back to the golden of Hip Hop for inspiration.

“I’m a raw emcee. There’s no flash with me,” says Ka. “My songs aren’t for everybody; they’re for just you. My music is for those who miss early ’90s hip hop. I’ve always tried to remain true to what I believe is the real spirit of hip hop. If you’re going to rhyme, you should have something relevant and unique to say. I decided a long time ago that I would make music for the love of it.”
