After a massively successful year for Strange Music, it looks like Tech N9ne and friends are making sure their 2012 follows suit. Now, acclaimed Kansas City duo Ces Cru has officially joined the Strange Music roster.

According to a recent press release, Missouri-based group Ces Cru, which is comprised of emcees Ubiquitous and Godemis, has signed with Tech’s imprint. Godemis spoke about linking up with the Strange Music team, saying that after years of making music in their local Kansas City, it feels validating to be sought out by Tech and company.

“This is like passing the bar or something [signing with Strange],” said Godemis. “It’s a really big deal. It means everything to me. I feel super-validated. We’ve been working for a really long time and this is the best place we could be.”

Tech also spoke on the signing as well, saying, “Ces Cru has been making wonderful music for years. I’ve made songs with them and performed with them, so it was time to make it official and sign them to Strange Music. They make beautiful music.”
