T.I. and B.o.B. may already have solo projects lined up for 2012 releases, with Tip’s Trouble Mandropping in February and B.o.B.’s Strange Clouds tentatively hitting shelves the month after, but that isn’t stopping them from looking ahead. Now, it looks like the Grand Hustle duo may be adding another project to their to-do list with a collaborative LP.

According to MTV, Tip and Bobby Ray are tossing around the idea of cutting a joint project together. According to B.o.B., the idea started as joke, but the more the two rappers thought about it, the more it seemed like a good idea. Still, B.o.B. maintained that the idea for the album isn’t set in stone and may not actually happen.

“The joint album, it actually started as a joke,” said B.o.B. “Tip would always refer to me as the Martian, and in one of his lyrics, he said, ‘It’s the man and the Martian,’ and we said, ‘Man that could be an album title.’ We kinda just played around with it. But it seems to be taking form in a very organic way.”

He added, “Even this, this is a conversation that we had, this is an idea. It’s not set in stone. It’s not concrete as of yet.”
