On August 16, Nature Sounds Records will release the studio debut from Black Market Militia and Royal Fam member Timbo King. The work, titled From Babylon To Timbuk2 will feature RZA, R.A. The Rugged Man and fellow B.M.M member Killah Priest, among others. Production on the work will come from Bronze Nazareth and M.O.P.’s Lil Fame (a/k/a Fizzy Womack), in addition to others.
With appearances dating back to the 1993 Who’s The Man soundtrack, Timbo King has worked on albums from RZA, GZA and other Wu-Tang compilations. According to a press release, King won a Grammy Award for his work with French Hip Hop group I AM.
“From Babylon to Timbuk2 offers the listener a breath of fresh air, enlightenment, self-awareness, and a sense of consciousness that seems to be lacking amongst recent rap releases,” said Timbo King in a statement. “I took my time in crafting my debut to ensure that fans received the exact quality and body of work I knew they would come to expect from experiencing Timbo King as a featured artist over the years and now taking the reigns as the ring leader.”
