Veteran emcee CMG, best known as a member of 1990s Bay area Rap duo/Paris proteges Conscious Daughters has released The Jane of All Trades today. The album, which features Keith Murray and Mistah FAB, is CMG’s first since 2009’s The Nutcracker Suite.

In other news, Boston, Massachusetts emcee M. Dot and producer DJ Jean Maron have announced a remix contest for their Run MPC album. Soulspazm Records, the Beat Society and iStandard Producers have offered accapellas for free download, and producers may remix any way they wish. With submissions completed by June 15 for a chance to win a spotlight on BeatSociety.com, an iStandard package and a placement on Run MPC‘s remix EP, which will be made available for digital release. Participants may enter here.
