As 2010 came to a close Raekwon announced that his anticipated Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang will drop on March 8. According to Vibe, that isn’t all that Rae has in store for fans in 2011. The untitled album is said to be “DJ-oriented” and “harmony-based” and will feature production from Just Blaze and Kanye West. The album, which is already half complete, is tentatively slated for an October release.

In July Rae revealed the guests for the album. “Method Man, Ghostface, Inspectah Deck, and GZA all appear on the album,” said Rae. “At the same time I got some other guys involved like [The Roots’] Black Thought—I love his talent. I think that when it comes to him delivering what level I wanted to go he was the perfect man. I also have Raheem DeVaughn who sounds like Curtis Mayfield over a Shaolin track.”

The Chef also said via Twitter that Rick Ross and Jim Jones would appear on the album.

2011 could prove to be another banner year for the Wu. In addition to Rae’s plans, Ghostface is gearing to release an album with Sheek Louch as well as Supreme Clientele 2. Masta Killa’s delayed Loyalty Is Royalty should also see the light of day.
