New Orleans emcee and recent DD172 collaborator Curren$y will headline a performance at Nashville’s Phatkaps on Thursday April 22. Hot Spitta resumes a series of in-store showcases that has previously included The Clipse, Bun B GLC among others. Music City’s own Dee Goodz will take to the stage as part of what Phatkaps owner Talmage Shearer is just one part of an ongoing effort to showcase talent and bring some diversity to the city.

“We’ve been blessed with this space, and we want to use it as a vehicle to bring in some positive activity,” Shearer explains. “There are young, talented people like Dee Goodz, OpenMic and Chance Warhol representing with us too, so we’re just going to continue this movement.”

The Phatkaps in-store show will start at 8 p.m. on April 22. Tickets can be purchased for $25. For purchase information, directions and more visit the Phatkaps Web site or Twitter feed.
