After announcing his upcoming album, King Uncaged will be released on August 24, T.I. gave Rolling Stone an exclusive idea of what to expect on his sixth full-length album.
“This is the most significant return from incarceration that the game has had since then,” T.I. says in reference to 2Pac’s epic 1996 double disc, All Eyez On Me. “Just given the enormous success of that project, everyone’s expecting the same results. I just want to meet the expectations, if not surpass them.”
Tip went on to explain that while his content may be aggressive, he will refrain from talking about guns. T.I. added that King Uncaged will be the end of a trilogy which began with T.I. Vs. Tip and included 2009’s Paper Trail. The full interview, which includes the producers scheduled to appear on the album is available at RollingStone.com.
Jay-Z will perform on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” for the second time on May 8. The Mother’s Day episode will be hosted by Betty White and also includes appearances by SNL mainstays Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch. Jay-Z previously appeared on Saturday Night Live in 2002 with Memphis Bleek and Beanie Sigel.
