T.I. will officially complete his 366 day prison sentence Friday (March 26) after being sentenced in March of 2009. After being arressted on weapons charges related to purchasing silencers and machine guns, the rapper served the majority of the sentence in an Arkansas prison, followed by a brief stint in a halfway house as well as being under house arrest.
T.I.’s attorney, Steve Sadow, told media outlets his client will be placed under 23 days of supervised release, which requires him to be home by 11 p.m. on days when he’s not performing and 1 a.m. when he is performing.
Per the terms of the original plea deal, Tip still has to complete 400 hours of community service, and he will be on probation for three years.
“I appreciate the support and how hard I was going in during the brief hiatus,” Tip said during a March 8 conference call to a select media group. “The support don’t go unnoticed and I don’t take it lightly…In my absence, it was a lot of things that went down, a lot of matters that needed to be addressed.

T.I. added that he should be back in the public eye within the coming weeks, and while he wouldn’t reveal the title of his upcoming album, he did say August 24 was the scheduled release date.
