Ice Spice is quite pleased with the first-week sales for her debut album Y2K!, despite missing out on a top 10 debut.

On Monday (August 5), Chart Data confirmed that the Bronx native’s new LP debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard 200 with 28k album-equivalent units.

Sharing the outlet’s post about her sales on X, Ice pointed out that the number is nearly double that of her first-week sales for her debut EP Like..?, and that is reason enough to take it as a win.

“Like..? did 15k so thank u to everyone who supported me then & thank u to all the new supporters,” she wrote with a heart. “Y2K! WORLD TOUR been so fun that these numbers are cool and all but bitch u should of seen that Boston CROWD last night [fire emoji] NYC TOMORROW.”

In other Ice Spice news, she recently came clean about the state of her relationship with Nicki Minaj.

The Bronx rapper spilled the beans in a conversation with Rolling Stone, published on July 25.

“We don’t have the closest relationship, you know? But we’re definitely good,” she told RS. “We’re mutuals. We had smash records together. I love us together. I think the world does too.”

Ice also elaborated on text messages of hers that were leaked a few months ago, where she expressed frustration at Minaj over the business details of their “Barbie World” collab.

“I don’t really think she cares about shit like that coming from a random girl,” the “Munch” rapper said of Minaj. “But what I said in those texts was just in a moment of frustration around contract negotiations. I could have chose different words. But at the end of the day, regardless of how I felt in that moment, [Nicki] is still somebody I respect as an artist, and I’m always going to admire everything she’s done for me and the culture.”

Those texts first surfaced on May 3 when Baby Storme — herself an aspiring singer and rapper — posted screenshots of a conversation alleged to be between herself and the Bronx native. Ice Spice appears to have confirmed the legitimacy of the messages with her response to Rolling Stone‘s questions about them.

In the screenshots, a woman that Baby Storme alleges is Ice Spice says that Minaj is “like her mom, ungrateful and delusional.” Ice Spice also allegedly said that the Barbie soundtrack project was initially brought to her, and that she then approached Minaj to collaborate with her because “that’s her brand.”

In a second post, Ice Spice can also be seen claiming that the “Starships” rapper is “jealous” of her “because I own my own masters.”
