Ice Spice was not the victim of a robbery as fans were led to believe when a video of someone claiming to have her jewelry went viral this week.
The video in question shows a man holding a silver chain with a “Queen” pendant he said belonged to the “Munch” rapper, sparking fan concern. The culprit claimed if Ice wanted her jewelry back, she would have to come pick it up from him.

“Yo, listen, we got Ice Spice chain. Stop playing with me, man. Pull up, you know where we at,” he said before using Ice’s rap flow to mock her. “Come to the bla-duh-duh, come get ya ched-duh-duh.”
According to TMZ, however, the chain did not belong to Ice Spice and the video was merely a hoax. The outlet cited a source close to the Bronx rapper, who said she has “never even owed such a piece.”

Furthermore, the TikTok user who originally uploaded the video admitted himself in the comments section that it was all a ruse. “The amount of y’all who believe this is insane it’s a joke lol,” he wrote in one comment.
In response to another user who criticized him for purportedly snatching Ice Spice’s chain, he wrote: “Ever heard of a joke.”
Ice Spice’s popularity has grown tremendously since she broke out with “Munch (Feelin’ U)” last summer, and with that comes clout-chasers looking to use her name and image for attention. Last October, a sex tape with someone that looked like Spice circulated online.
The NSFW clips — which don’t show the face of the person in question — spread like wildfire across the internet, forcing the “Bikini Bottom” rapper to shut down the allegations on Twitter.

“U guys want them fake ass leaks to be me so bad just so u can go beat your lil dirty meat to it,” she wrote.
Ice Spice has also seen her name brought up over biting allegations involving one of her female rap peers. Earlier this month, Lattoclapped back at a fan who accused her of copying the “Princess Diana” rapper’s style, adding that she’s sick of people misinterpreting her tweets.
The accusations were made after the “Big Energy” rapper posted a photo on Instagram of her striking a similar pose to that of Spice on the cover of her Like..? EP, with one fan writing: “YOUUUU posted this… so YOU’RE creating the narrative!”
Latto responded to the fan in question, writing: “Every time y’all accuse me of copying folks ima clear it up. Nun mo nun less.”

She added in a separate tweet: “I don’t like how y’all take my tweets & make them fit ur weak ass narratives.”
The tweets came after reported friction between the two rappers. During a red carpet event in January, Latto was caught off guard when a journalist asked her to complete the lyrics to Ice Spice’s viral hit “Bikini Bottom.”
