Hit-Boy has thrown another shot at his newfound rival Hitmaka, this time claiming he’s not a producer and just an A&R.
During his conversation with Home Grown Media, Hit-Boy continued speaking on the simmering beef between the pair. They’ve been going at it for a couple of weeks, throwing shots at each other, and now the Grammy Award-winning producer is coming at the former rapper’s skills on the board.

According to Hit-Boy, Hitmaka can’t keep up with his résumé, which includes work with JAY-Z, the late Nipsey Hussle, Griselda, and more.
“I produced the biggest Griselda release in the history of griselda. I helped Nas win his first grammy. I got JAY-Z’s most streamed song. I produced Nipsey’s biggest song, like n-ggas be trying to disrespect,” Hit-Boy said.

“The conversation is over. He don’t make beats, bro. Let’s just start there. I’m really handcrafting new styles, coming with different bounces, different drum patterns, different types of ways of thinking about the music, and this man don’t even make the beat and he got the nerve to speak on me, that’s like you really on pills. He’s an A&R, bro.”

Hitmaka stirred the pot a few weeks ago during an interview with Hot 97 when he claimed that he’s a better producer than Hit-Boy. The Grammy-nominated beatsmith said his peer barely gets any radio play and felt there was no one that could compete wth him.
Hit-Boy took the shot and responded on his collaborative track with The Alchemist called “Slipping Into Darkness.” On the track, the West Coast native namedropped Hitmaka, Metro Boomin and Southside.

“I’m usually homeboys with producers I get compared to, but on this one I want to say I’m stretched out, extra leg room/ I don’t really know dude, he seem like a cool cat/ But I never once heard Metro Boomin do boom bap/ I never heard a Southside beat without an 808 in it/ HB in drunk-driver mode, I swerve in every lane with it,” he raps over a soulful, piano-laced beat.
He continues: “I just seen Yung Berg spoke on the wave, I should do him like Trick Trick and snatch Hit out his name/ I had decoded the game, I had the coldest of days/ I’m like Bieber on his cruise, how you got no credits without co-producers?”
Hitmaka recently spoke to HipHopDX and made it clear he’s not interested in collaborating with Hit-Boy and would rather take him on in the Verzuz ring to settle their feud.
“Absolutely not,” Hitmaka said when asked if he would ever collaborate with Hit-Boy. “There’s enough room for both of us to breathe in this lane, and it’s enough room for both of us to exist ’cause we both been existing this whole entire time this whole thing been going on before this little rift on the internet began.

“But in all actuality, no thank you, and I’m just continuing to do me. I don’t know what aesthetic he brings to what I’m creating, like I got my pocket and he has his.”
He continued: “I don’t care if he gets me with just one song, we got 19 more after that, my boy. We can serve this one up since it’s already on the platter. I said I wanted to do a Verzuz with Mustard, he got upset, got in his feelings and went on the internet and to do the same type of thing. I’m hogging up a large percentage of volume in music and just projects so it’s more so like whoever really want it because I’m confident in my 20.”
