The Game is being criticized by a fan for allegedly running a scam through his merchandise portal and not following through on a transaction’s promise.
On Wednesday (October 25), a Reddit user wrote a lengthy post about the Compton MC promoting a sweepstakes deal on his online store that involved fans having to purchase an $80 hoodie. However, this particular fan claims they never received it.

“The Game put out a post about a month or so ago promoting some new LA merch and that buying any of it would enter you into a giveaway for a car. It included a dope hoodie that I wanted,” the fan wrote. “My package arrived yesterday and I got whats pictured above. A bunch of like Japanese writing and a ‘Leopard Womens Hoody.’”
They ended their message by claiming: “There is a message on the website about how they won’t issue any refunds for any sales no matter what because they ‘don’t want to tamper with the sweepstakes.’”
HipHopDX has reached out to The Game and his team for comment regarding the allegations.
Though no one in the comments section has added to the allegation, a number of people expressed their disappointed at the Southern California rapper.
“How broke do you have to be to run a scam on your own fans,” one user wrote, to which another replied: “Like $80 isn’t a big spend for a hoodie but still. He was legitimately one of my all time favorite artists I think his first three albums are classics. Just sad to see.”
Others saw this as an opportunity to clown the 43-year-old, with one person writing: “DM this to 50 [Cent]. He will probably repost it if he actually sees it.”
For context, The Game and Fif have been beefing ever since The Documentary hitmaker was kicked out of G-Unit after his allegiance to the group came into question in 2005. For over 15 years, both rappers have been trading jabs, some subtle and others overt.
