G Herbo has made it clear that he doesn’t want to experience the same fate as Young Thug in his wire fraud case.
On Thursday (July 20), the Chicago rapper took to his Instagram Stories to express his thoughts on not being snitched on — which appeared to be subtle shade towards Gunna, who has been accused of snitching on Thugga by taking a plea deal in the ongoing YSL RICO case.

“I know foenemmm wont tell on me like n-ggazzz told on Thug,” he wrote.
Herbo also briefly spoke about his legal troubles with TMZ on Thursday, saying he’s keeping his head down and focusing on the positives ahead of a likely prison sentence.
“I’m just working, living life, doing the right shit, bro,” he said while stood outside LAX. “I’m great.”
It was reported earlier this week that G Herbo could face up to two decades behind bars after pleading guilty to federal wire fraud charges.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the rapper pleaded guilty on Wednesday (July 19) to using stolen identities to fund private jets, a Jamaican villa and designer puppies, before lying about it to agents.

Herbo (real name Herbert Wright III) was ordered to appear in a Massachusetts court on Wednesday for a separate gun charge in Chicago, where a plea agreement laying out the terms of the wire fraud deal was also filed by prosecutors.
Although it was widely reported that Herbo was facing up to 20 years in prison, XXL said that he is expected to serve five years behind bars and three years of supervised release.

He also has to pay a $250,000 fine, a mandatory special assessment of $100, restitution and forfeiture to the extent charged in the legal agreement.
A plea hearing has been tentatively set for July 27 before U.S. District Judge Mark G. Mastroianni.
The plea comes over two years after G Herbo was indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aggravated identity theft, with the charge of lying to agents added in a separate indictment in 2021.
Herbo and five others were accused of using stolen identities to make up to $1.5 million in fraudulent charges for goods and services, including private jet trips, a personal chef, a vacation at a Jamaican villa and puppies from a business in Michigan.

He denied wrongdoing at the time and also referenced the allegations on a song called “Statement” that was released in December 2020.
“Let’s talk about them jets, yeah, let’s talk about Jamaica/ Ask about me, I ain’t never been a fraud/ I went hard from the start/ In my city I’m a God, muthafucka/ If you know, you know,” he rapped on the song.

The charges claimed G Herbo lied to a federal agent in November 2018 about his relationship with promoter Antonio Strong, who was the alleged mastermind behind the identity theft scheme.
As for his Chicago gun case, G Herbo was arrested on July 9 after police officers discovered a Glock 33 in his vehicle during a traffic stop, which stemmed from him failing to display a turn signal.
