Future and Young Thug are among the names slated to appear on A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie‘s forthcoming album, Better Off Alone.

In an Instagram post earlier this week, the Bronx native revealed the new effort will drop on Friday (May 17) – giving fans just a few days’ notice. In addition to Thug and Future, Cash Cobain, Lil Durk, Fridayy, and Mariah The Scientist will also feature on the 21-track album.

Better Off Alone will serve as A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s fifth studio album, and follows the same solo theme as 2022’s Me vs. Myself. Making for his fourth top 10 album with a No. 6 debut on the Billboard 200, the LP featured appearances from Roddy Ricch, Tory Lanez, Kodak Black, G Herbo, Lil Durk, Don Q and H.E.R.

The new album arrives amid a bit of a troubled European tour for the “Drowning” rapper. Earlier this month, his scheduled concert in Manchester, England was canceled just a few minutes after doors had already opened.

The cancelation was put down to a “venue-related technical issue” and had nothing to do with A Boogie, who became the third act to suffer a postponement at the yet-to-open venue following comedian Peter Kay and rock band The Black Keys.

Co-Op Live announced around 10 minutes after doors had opened that the concert would longer go ahead due to technical problems inside the venue itself apparently related to air-conditioning.

“We kindly ask fans to leave the area. Ticket holders will receive further information in due course,” they wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “We deeply apologize for the significant inconvenience this will cause for many.”

In an Instagram Story, after the last-minute cancellation was announced, A Boogie said the issues were down to “something [that] happened with the venue while I was at soundcheck.”

“We are working on rescheduling in the next few days,” he added. “I’m heated about the situation too, but safety first. Manchester, I got you. Just stay tuned for further info.”

The issue followed a violent altercation at his Paris tour stop, where the rapper and several members of his entourage got involved in an altercation outside a nightclub in the French capital earlier this week, leading to them being pepper sprayed by security.

In a video of the incident, the 28-year-old can be seen getting into a tense exchange with a bouncer before things escalate.

Soon after the clip of the brawl began making the rounds online, A Boogie wrote on social media: “N-ggas only got outta there cus they mased us! Never runnin from a n-gga.”

In a follow-up post, he added: “Lmao fuck I look like playin with mase n-ggas can’t fight.”

A Boogie and his entourage did not appear to suffer any legal ramifications from the incident given no arrests have so far been made and they left the country to fly to the UK to continue the tour.
