French Montana has spoken out about the shooting that allegedly occurred at his Miami video shoot and left almost a dozen people injured.
In a tweet on Friday (January 6), the Bronx-based rapper denied any involvement in the shooting that occurred the night before outside of The Licking restaurant in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Though he was present, French said he was simply having dinner with his team but that he’s praying for the victims.
“Last night, I was in Miami celebrating the release of my CB6 mixtape w/ friends at a local restaurant. We unfortunately were at the wrong place, at the wrong time when an incident took place that left people hurt. Our thoughts & prayers are w/ the victims & families at this time.”
Original reports state that French was at the restaurant shooting a video with rapper Rob49 when gunshots rang out, injuring at least 10 people – including Rob. Four victims were airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center, with one of them listed in critical condition. Other victims transported themselves to the hospital. So far, no deaths have been reported.
Cellphone footage showed Montana and Rob49 filming a video in the back of a car outside the restaurant prior to the shooting. The two rappers have a new collaboration called “Igloo” on French’s Coke Boys 6: Money Heist Edition project.
A witness named Ced Mogul said someone in the crowd was robbed of his watch, keys and wallet before the shots rang out.
“[He asked to] call his mother and see if we can get spare car keys and make sure, you know, he’s okay, and then the gunshots went off,” Mogul said. “It was, like, at least 13, 14, 15 gunshots. It was very rapid, it sounded like an assault rifle.”
No arrests have been made as of yet.
