French Montana hasn’t dropped a new project since Coke Boys 6 back in January, but he’s now teasing that he’s getting back in the game — and this time he’ll be bringing Lil Baby along for the ride.

On Thursday (October 26), the “Lockjaw” rapper took to Instagram to tease some new heat, and also suggested that the pair were ready to drop a “monster” of a hit. It’s not clear, though, whether that’s a teaser for the name of the track, and French also didn’t reveal when the song would be dropping.

“What the streets been waiting for,” he wrote in the caption. “MONTANA x lil BABY just cooked up a monster #comingsoon Cb | 4pf.”

Musically, French Montana isn’t the only rapper to give Lil Baby his props. Back in August, T.I. shouted out the Atlanta native for his contributions to modern trap music.

“A lot of people moving the genre,” the Grand Hustle leader said. “Not even just by embodying similar qualities that I did. I think it’s a lot more conversational now.”

“Just a lot of key facts about details and authenticity,” he said of the 4PF rapper. “Where you’re speaking about things that you know that only a person who knows could articulate it.”

As for French Montana, in August, he teamed up with Swae Lee to drop “Wish U Well,” a follow-up to their 2017 mega hit “Unforgettable.”

Rediscovering that winning combination on “Wish U Well,” the pair tap into the African vibes of Lagos, Nigeria, which is where Montana and Lee shot the music video to capture the city’s authenticity.

Swae Lee kicks off the bouncy tune with his signature falsetto: “Come tell me everything/ If it bothers you then it bothers me/ Restore my trust, replace my faith.”

French then takes the baton for a smooth transition: “The top disappear like Houdini/ Gucci socks on don’t G me/ Tell ’em we got yachts if they fishin’/ Crib, three islands in the kitchen/ Cool like the breeze in Jamaica.”
