French Montana might have to cough up a few million dollars to compensate a former employee who claims to have been viciously attacked by the rapper’s dog a few years ago.
On Wednesday (February 21), Rolling Stone reported that a Los Angeles landscaper named Jason Leyva is asking for a $2.3 million default judgment for the injuries, trauma and expenses stemming from an alleged attack in 2019 by the New York MC’s Tibetan Mountain Dog.

More specifically, he is seeking $1.5 million for physical agony, $10,000 for medical bills and $350,000 for future expenses.
Because the “Unforgettable” hitmaker has apparently not responded to the plaintiff’s attempts at serving the complaint, a judge has now set a date for March 25 to consider the above demand.

“I entered the premises, and, without warning or provocation, the dog mauled and bit me, tearing at my shoulder and hip causing severe injuries which required stitches and injured my lumbar spine,” Leyva said in court statement.
“I am in constant, intractable pain when bending, standing or sitting for long periods of time.”

He continued: “Because of this chronic pain in my back and should from which I have been unable to get relief, I am seeking further medical consultations to find out if I may be a candidate for lumbar or shoulder surgery.
“If I am not, I am afraid that I will suffer from severe, intolerable pain for the rest of my life.”
Two years back, French Montana was also taken to court by a different employee for the same reason.
The East Coast rapper was subsequently ordered by a California judge to cough up nearly $130,000 in damages after his “large German Shephard,” Zane, bit a man named Juan Lomeli during a “vicious attack” in 2017.

Lomeli claimed he was working as a pool boy at Montana’s California estate when the animal sunk his teeth into his arm and wouldn’t let go. He filed a lawsuit against the “Pop That” rapper in 2018, following which a California grand jury finally ruled in his favor in 2022.
